Hiatus

Sorry its been so long.
We’ve been going full tilt the past month or so. Griffin has not been his ususal fun loving self the past week and on Saturday we found out why. Kim saw the molar pushing through. That explains a lot of the crankiness.
A plumber came over on Saturday afternoon to fix the toilet. We went to a friend’s birthday party Saturday night around 8 and when we returned around 11:30 we came home to water running out of the garage and down the street. The pipe had broken and flooded the basement. Needless to say it was not the greatest of father’s days. The bright spot was that Griffin immediately gave me multiple hugs early Sunday morning that made it all worthwhile. He wore his special Cubs overall outfit and we watched Tiger play golf. Or should I say a show about balls. Balls being hit. Balls flying through the air. Ball going into the ground and then reappearing.
He was reported to have stood up in the middle of the room today and take multiple steps. Hopefully we are close. We are close to have a back gate that can be locked. We got our specially fitted gate at the top of the stairs today, finally. Next up is pulling the trigger on the backyard. Hopefully it will be in by August. I’m also hoping to have the garage complete and a new door put in so Kim and Griffin can use this to head out in the morning.
Griffin asked me to get out the sun block yesterday night so that he could put some on. He popped the lid and I put some on his finger. He then applied some to his face and closed the lid. He then repeated the process several times as he concentrated by sticking his tongue out. His new trick.
